Key product challenge
Stable Jack aimed to improve product adoption by addressing high bounce rates, low retention, and drop-offs during core user flows.
key design issues identified
"Did it work… or did the app freeze?"
When users tried to mint, redeem, deposit, or withdraw, the interface gave no sign that anything was happening. No spinner, no message, just silence. Naturally, people assumed something broke.
“Doesn't feel right on mobile”
The design wasn’t optimised for mobile, layouts weren’t responsive, spacing felt tight, and interactions weren’t tailored for smaller screens. It worked, but the experience felt cramped and unpolished.
“The interface feels random.”
The UI lacked consistency, which made the experience feel disconnected. Spacing, and components changed across pages, making it harder for users to trust the flow or even recognise they were still in the same app.
Project constraints
Laying the right foundations
To improve usability at scale, we introduced a lightweight design system and rebuilt key components while optimising for mobile, ensuring consistency, clarity, and a better experience across the board.

A System for Speed and Scale
To bring consistency across Stable Jack’s UI, I created a minimal, reusable design system, defining base colours, typography, spacing, and core components, all optimised for fast iteration and cross-device use.
Before & After: System in Motion
The design system brought clarity and cohesion to Stable Jack’s interface. From disjointed layouts to a unified, polished experience. This transformation shows the impact of consistent structure, spacing, and visual rhythm across the product.

Responsive by Design
The redesigned interface adapted across desktop and mobile, with layouts and interactions tailored to each device. The experience was carefully crafted in both light and dark modes to ensure visual clarity and consistency, no matter the user’s preference.
Introducing visibility of status
Hand-Drawn Moments of Progress
To make key flows like minting, redeeming, and claiming feel more responsive, I created hand-drawn animations that serve as loading indicators. These subtle visuals add personality while giving users clear feedback that something is happening, turning waiting into a more engaging, reassuring moment.

Try It Yourself: The Minting Flow
This interactive prototype lets you experience the redesigned minting flow first-hand, complete with animated feedback. From selecting tokens to confirming the transaction, every step was crafted for clarity, responsiveness, and ease of use, so users always know what’s happening.
Impact That Speaks for Itself
Following the launch of V1, Stable Jack saw rapid growth and strong user engagement. The redesigned experience contributed to $13M in assets under management, over 5,000 users, and an impressive 80% retention rate, clear signs that the product was not only working, but resonating.
